Salim and Sulaiman Merchant, two of India’s most respected composers
in celebration of His Highness the Aga Khan’s Diamond Jubilee or 60th year of leadership of
the Ismaili Muslim Community.
The concert will also feature three special artists: Raj Pandit, Sukriti Kakar and Vipul Metha.
The concert performances include a combination of sufi, pop, qawwali and Bollywood songs.
Using music – a universal language that transcends faith, ethnicity and nationality –
the performance is designed to uplift, inspire, and bring people together.
Salim-Sulaiman have scored more than 100 films, as well as many TV shows and records incorporating
cinematic, folk, electronica and sufi influences to their music. The duo have enthralled audiences
across the world with their live concerts including performing at the opening ceremony of
the FIFA World Cup in 2010. Their songs are inspirational and have won Best Music awards at multiple festivals.
